The Smoking Habit

Smoking is a very complex problem in many ways. While many people view smoking as a simple addiction to the nicotine chemical, it is actually far more than that.


Any smoker knows the feeling that they get when they are under stress or find themsleves in a situation where they have become accustomed, for one reason or another, to lighting up a cigarette. Also, when a smoker has a meal or a cup of coffee or a soft drink, they have a storng desire for a cigarette.


For simplicity, we have broken the many aspects of smoking down into 3 main categories:

Physical,

Psychological

Habitual (or Sociological).
